☆天皇陛下のおことば
宮内庁のウェブサイトに、８月１５日の戦没者追悼式での天皇陛下のおことばが掲載されていました。

＊昨日の式典でのおことばは、和英それぞれのページの一番下にあります。
今回の陛下のおことばは長くはありませんでしたが、一語一語が考え抜かれた内容であるように感じました。
このようなスピーチを、いかに的確に、かつ想いが伝わるように訳すのか。
自分でも英訳を試みましたが、どうも単調な文章にしかならず、「違う感」が半端ない感じです。。
公式の英訳をみると、格調高い表現を使い、とても丁寧に訳してあるのがわかります。
天皇陛下のおことばを通訳（翻訳）するような機会は、私には今後ないかもしれませんが、この美しい英訳を暗唱できるくらい読み込み、自分の血肉にしたいと思います。
